Empowering Your Team-Part 2

Yesterday we started a blog conversation about team empowerment. After experiencing this time and time again, we want to expand on the topic.

At AOS, we strongly believe in rewarding those who produce results. Not everyone gets a prize, but those who work hard and bring value to their park end up rising with the tide. When we hear clients or potential clients say, “We cannot afford to give bonuses,” we show them how they cannot only get to the place where they can afford them, but how honoring and rewarding employees can get them far beyond where they ever thought they could go. Additionally, it is just the right thing to do.

When we set goals for our team members, we watch with excitement as they strive to reach them. Just this week, we informed a Front Desk Manager that she was just a few hundred dollars away from hitting her monthly gate. Once hit she hit the gate, her bonus would kick in for the month. Within two hours, she had rented a site for a long term stay, and booked a cottage above rack. This put her over the top with 10 days left in the month. THIS is what empowering and rewarding can do for your park.

Bonus structures differ park to park, but there is always a way to motivate staff and let them know they are truly part of a team.

When goals are set and clearly defined, those who wish to rise will take the challenge and run with it-and your park with prosper.
